Carbon Fiber Care
1. Cleaning
Use a soft cloth or microfiber towel to wipe down the surface.
For stubborn dirt, use mild soap and water; avoid harsh chemicals.
Rinse thoroughly to remove any soap residue.
Parts are pressure washer friendly, however be sure to maintain a healthy distance between pressure washer nozzle and the part being cleaned.
2. Avoiding Scratches
Avoid contact with abrasive surfaces or materials.
Small scratches can be removed with wax such as SC1, or 303 Aerospace Protectant.
3. UV Protection
Keep carbon fiber items out of direct sunlight for extended periods.
Consider applying a UV protectant or sealant designed for carbon fiber.
We recommend using 303 Aerospace Protectant to prevent UV damage.
4. Storage
Store in a cool, shady place to prevent excess damage.
Avoid extreme temperatures that could weaken the material.
5. Regular Inspections
Check for signs of wear or damage regularly.
Address any cracks or issues promptly to prevent further damage, Zenbuilt Performance offers repair services as well.
6. Professional Maintenance
Clean with soap and water, such as simple green, do not use acidic cleaning products that will eat or etch such as ZEP.
Polish with wax/303 Aerospace Protectant.
Buff dry with a clean microfiber cloth.
